How to setup RetailDeck so that it automatically downloads the deck every day
Although it only takes one click to update your inventory and price data, it is a good idea to set your computer up to automatically download the information at the beginning of every day. Before you can set this up, however, you must have already installed RetailDeckand have downloaded the deck for the first time.
There are two ways that RetailDeck can be setup to download the deck automatically every day. Which method is best for you depends on the answer to a simple question: do you restart your computers every day?
If you restart your computers once per day, that is to say, if you turn off the computers in your store when you close up and turn them back on when you open again, you want to setup RetailDeck to automatically update the deck every time the computer is started (since this will happen daily). Also, if you are running Windows 95, 98, or ME, only this method is available to you.
If you leave your computer on all of the time, you should schedule an automatic deck download.
